Chickpea Avocado "Tuna"


What you’ll need:

1 can chickpeas
2 celery stalks
¼ cup chopped red onion
1.5 tbsp tahini
2 tbsp spicy brown mustard
1/2 avocado for bread (optional)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp parsley
1/4 - 1/2 tsp salt 


  • Drain chickpeas and add them to a medium sized bowl
  • Mash with a fork –leaving some whole chickpeas
  • Chop celery and red onion –add to bowl
  • Add in remaining ingredients- tahini, mustard and spices
  • Mix well
  • On a piece of toast spread ½ an avocado (optional)
  • Scoop on chickpea tuna and enjoy
